Fire Safety Prevention training courses are aimed at all employees at all levels. Fire Safety Prevention training courses aim to assist in identifying and reducing the risk that fire presents in the workplace.

Taking a course in fire safety is a great idea for all employees. It ensures a safe and harmonious work place and will go towards putting employee minds at ease. You can never know too much about work place safety and you can never know too much about fire safety and prevention. All staff will benefit from one of these courses and it can even be done as a group work activity too.

Course Aims

A fire safety training course will teach learners how to most effectively deal with fire in the workplace.  These courses will highlight the dangers of fire and the importance of fire prevention.

Course Objective:

Having completed one of these courses, employees should be able to:

  • Understand the three components necessary to create fire (i.e. Fire Triangle)
  • Know what to do in the event of a fire
  • Know their evacuation procedures
  • Select the most appropriate fire extinguisher

Course Programme:

Most of these courses will cover the following topics and programmes:

  • Causes of Fires
  • Overview of Fire Safety Legislation
  • Understanding the Fire Triangle
  • What to do in the event of an outbreak of fire?
  • Choosing the correct fire extinguisher
  • Practical Experience of Using Extinguishers

Training Methods:

These courses will be interactive in nature and will usually entail learners getting some hands-on, practical experience using fire extinguishers.

Courses are generally divided into two parts, theoretical and practical components.

They will also cover many other aspects of fire safety and training so that the learner has full knowledge of how to identify and reduce fire risks in the workplace.
