To coincide with Ibec’s National Workplace Wellbeing Day, See Change is hosting a ‘Mental Health Judgement in the Workplace’ event on Thursday 27th April, 10-11am, Online via Zoom Webinar

Stress management, well being and resilience

Stress relates to the changes that occur in the mind and body when faced with a demand or challenge that exceeds our coping ability. Also known as our Fight/Flight Response , it can be triggered by physical threat, or daily pressures such as; work demands, financial difficulties, illness, relationship issues, or life change. According to the World Health Organization “Stress has become a modern epidemic” and is a huge influencing factor of our mental, physical and emotional health.

  • Between 75-90%  of all doctor visits are stress related.
  • Over 50% of all deaths before the age of 65 are due to stressful lifestyles
  • Stress accounts for 80% workplace accidents, 75% absenteeism and 30% of work claims
  • Stress reduces productivity, morale, increases conflict, litigation claims and staff turnover
  • Stress is linked to addiction, anxiety, chronic fatigue, depression, digestive problems, heart disease, lung problems, illness, insomnia, migraines, muscular problems, skin conditions, suicide

Building resilience and well being

Our stress management courses and resilience training programs combine psychological expertise, cognitive behavioural therapy and practical tools to reduce stress and improve mental health and well being. You and your team will learn how to respond positively to the pressures and demands of everyday life. Training is available for individuals and groups on site, externally or as online counselling
