Moving into Management requires the learning of a new sets of skills in order to successfully transition from individual contributor to leader and manager.

This two-day programme will help participants gain an understanding of the role of the manager and the skills and competencies required for effective management.  The course will focus on key skills of people management such as motivation, communication, delegation, performance management and conflict resolution.

This course will be of benefit to staff who are newly recruited into a managerial or supervisory role or those who wish to acquire or refresh their day-to-day people management skills.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this Moving into Management course, participants will be better able to:

  • Understand the role of the Manager.
  • Identify Skills and Competencies for effective management.
  • Recognise the importance of communication and interpersonal skills for managing teams.
  • Motivate and inspire team members to achieve organisational goals.
