As we promote STEM careers and try to address the leaky pipeline, we often hear the expression ‘you can’t be what you can’t see’! But we also know that conferences and events nationwide struggle to identify female experts to participate in panel and keynote events. Radio and TV producers continue to report that they have difficulty finding women to participate on the airwaves and, as a result, many programmes lack important gender balance.
A keynote address from Nicola O’Connor will be followed by a panel discussion chaired by journalist and broadcaster Alison O’Connor.
The panel will feature:
Noelle O’Reilly – Women on Air. Noelle is a former producer in RTE radio, she was Producer-in-Charge of RTE radio’s General Election & daily radio programmes including The Today Show
Grace Aungier – iQuest. Grace is Conference and Awards Director at iQuest/Business Post. She is former CEO and Founder of Magazines Ireland, the association of Irish magazine publishers.
Judith Spring – Kingstown College. Judith is an Executive and Leadership Coach. She is a course presenter at Kingstown College. With an engineering background Judith is passionate about supporting women in STEM attain and excel in leadership.
