Postgraduate Qualifications in Journalism and Public Relations at Griffith College

Griffith College, the independent third-level institution has announced that its MA and Post Graduate Diploma courses in Journalism and Public Relations have been accredited by the Public Relations Institute of Ireland (PRII). Griffith College is the fifth institution in Ireland to receive this accreditation from the PRII, the representative body for the Public Relations industry in Ireland. 

Postgraduate Qualifications in Journalism and Public Relations

 The MA in Journalism and Public Relations and the Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism and Public Relations are offered on a part-time and full-time basis at Griffith College’s campus in Dublin. The curriculums for both courses are structured to provide students with a well-rounded communications qualification that increases their employability as first time entrants to the work-place or as existing workers who wish to further pursue their professional development. 

Dr Robbie Smyth, Deputy Head of the Journalism and Media Communications Faculty at Griffith welcomed the PRII accreditation, stating: “We have been producing media graduates in Griffith for nearly 25 years and this is an important step in the recognition of the progress the faculty has made, and the status of our alumni in industry in Ireland and internationally. We are proud to join the four other universities and institutes in Ireland with this accreditation and look forward to developing a long-term collaborative relationship with the PRII’”.

Public Relations is playing an ever-increasing role in this period and the accreditation of this course is testament to our close collaboration with industry and the demand in the market for qualified communications graduates with an expertise in public relations.”
