Gold for Rehab Group's training division
The National Learning Network has been awarded the Excellence Through People Gold Standard, placing it in the top ten per cent of companies in Ireland who have achieved the recognition to date. The standard focuses on a range of key activities including business planning, communications, leadership and staff training and development.
National Learning Network (NLN), the training and employment division of the Rehab Group, provides high-quality training, education and employment placement services which successfully support over 90 per cent of its students in progressing to further education or employment every year. NLN offers in excess of 40 different nationally- and internationally-accredited programmes to people with disabilities and others who are marginalised in 50 locations around Ireland, ranging from business studies and computer skills, to photography and performing arts.
Marie Kelly, Rehab Group’s Director of Training and Employment Services, commented: 'This is the second time that National Learning Network has won this Excellence Through People Gold standard and, with a rating of 90.1 per cent, it is our best result ever and clearly sets us apart as an employer of choice. The award of the Gold standard is a truly remarkable achievement and highlights once more the best practice in place across the organisation. It is a tribute to the professionalism and commitment of our high-calibre staff and our efforts to strive for the highest standards on behalf of the 5,000 learners who access our wide range of innovative courses each year.'
Excellence Through People is Ireland’s national standard for human resource development and was established by FÁS in 1996.
